It’s shaping up to be a buyer’s market for the few teams trying to upgrade in goal this summer, with seemingly more top netminders than ever teeming at the surface, ready to be plucked.

Thanks to an expected NHL expansion draft next July, both the Tampa Bay Lightning and Pittsburgh Penguins could be ready to part ways with capable starters Ben Bishop and Marc-Andre Fleury this off-season. Both players are on theTSN Top 20 Trade Bait list from earlier this month.

The Anaheim Ducks will likely hang onto only one of either 22-year-old John Gibsonor 26-year-old restricted free agent Frederik Andersen because of the same expansion considerations.

Consider: 10 NHL teams finished below the league average save percentage of .915 last season, but perhaps as few as three of them may be aggressively looking to make a change in net.
