You probably heard it on TSN, both Pierre LeBrun and Bob Mckenzie reporting the Canucks plan to re-tool, which means everyone on the roster is available save the Sedin twins.

Not sure why the twins get to escape the trade block, but that’s the way it’s being presented.

Now, when you report something like that, a lot of fans are going to run with it, and read into it.

They’re going to view the Canucks as sellers leading up to the trade deadline and they’re going to say “Hey, this sure sounds like a firesale.”

Many did.

Then, they’re going to head off to rumour mill la-la land imagining who the Canucks could get while they rebuild, retool, or whatever you want to call it.
