from Andrew Gross of The Record,
In all likelihood, Dan Boyle is playing his final season in the NHL.
The veteran defenseman told The Record following Wednesday’s practice at Greenburgh, N.Y., that while "nothing is for sure," he is leaning toward retirement and not seeking another contract once his two-year, $9 million deal with the Rangers expires.
The 39-year-old said being away from his two young daughters gets tougher "more and more every year."
"You miss a lot of things," said Boyle, whose daughters, Eastin and Wesley, are 7 and 5. "At a certain point, you don’t want to miss it any more."
