GAUDREAU EXTENDS POINT STREAK TO 10 GAMES IN FLAMES VICTORY
Johnny Gaudreau collected 1-1—2 to help the Flames defeat the Capitals and improve to 7-2-0 in their last nine games. Gaudreau extended his career-high point streak to 10 contests (8-11—19), including at least one goal in each of his last six games and multi-point performances in his last five.

* Gaudreau ranks third in the NHL with 10-21—31 overall this season, behind only Tampa Bay’s Steven Stamkos (10-25—35) and Nikita Kucherov (17-16—33). His 10-game point streak trails Stamkos and Kucherov – who had simultaneous 11-game point streaks from Oct. 6-26 – for the longest such run in the NHL this season.

* Elias notes that Gaudreau became the first Flames player to record multiple points in five consecutive team games since Jarome Iginla from Feb. 28 – March 7, 2002 (6-6—12). Gaudreau became just the second player to accomplish the feat this season, joining Stamkos from Oct. 16-24 (2-11—13).

EKMAN-LARSSON, KELLER HELP COYOTES SNAP MAPLE LEAFS’ WIN STREAK
Clayton Keller collected two assists and Oliver Ekman-Larsson scored the game-winning goal on a power-play late in the second period to help the Coyotes snap the Maple Leafs’ win streak at six games and earn their third straight victory. Arizona improved to 7-0-1 in their last eight road games against Toronto dating to Jan. 14, 2006 (TOR: 1-5-2).

* Keller has registered 11-9—20 this season (23 GP) and moved past Islanders forward Mathew Barzal (4-15—19 in 20 GP) to reclaim the rookie scoring lead.

* Since making his League debut on Oct. 9, 2010, Ekman-Larsson leads all NHL defensemen with 26 game-winning goals and ranks second with 42 power-play goals (Shea Weber: 64).

EKHOLM EXTENDS GOAL STREAK TO FOUR GAMES IN PREDATORS WIN
Mattias Ekholm scored for the fourth consecutive game (4-2—6) to help the Predators improve to 7-1-1 at Bridgestone Arena this season. Elias notes that Ekholm became the first defenseman in franchise history to score at least one goal in four consecutive team games.

TOP METROPOLITAN DIVISION TEAMS EARN WINS
The Devils (12-5-3, 27 points) and Blue Jackets (13-7-1, 27 points) – who rank first and second in the Metropolitan Division, respectively – earned wins on Monday:

* The Wild tied the game with 1:36 remaining in regulation, but John Moore scored 52 seconds into overtime to power the Devils to victory. Moore leads all defensemen with six overtime goals since the 3-on-3 format was introduced in 2015-16.

* The Blue Jackets built a 3-0 lead and held off a late Sabres rally to extend their win streak to four games.Sergei Bobrovsky made 30 saves to improve to 12-4-1 this season (2.02 GAA, .933 SV%, 2 SO), including wins in his last four appearances.

DUCKS DEFEAT SHARKS IN NINE-ROUND SHOOTOUT
Reto Berra made a season-high 41 saves through 65 minutes and denied six shooters in a nine-round shootout to backstop the Ducks to a 4-1-0 record in their last five games, including three consecutive wins. Elias notes that Monday’s contest between the Ducks and Sharks was the second nine-round shootout this season (also CBJ at DET on Nov. 11).
