OVECHKIN CLIMBS ALL-TIME LISTS AS CAPITALS RALLY PAST MAPLE LEAFS
The Capitals overcame deficits of 4-2 and 5-4 in the third period and Alex Ovechkin scored 22 seconds into overtime en route to their third straight win.

* Ovechkin scored his 19th career regular-season overtime goal to move into a tie with Jaromir Jagr for the most in NHL history.

* Elias notes that Ovechkin recorded his 94th career game-winning goal (sixth this season) to pass Johnny Bucyk, Sergei Fedorov and Joe Nieuwendyk (93) and tie Steve Yzerman for 12th on the NHL’s all-time list.

* Ovechkin (543-452—995) climbed within one goal of tying Maurice Richard (544) for 29th on the NHL’s all-time list and five points of reaching the 1,000-point milestone.

WEBER HELPS CANADIENS EARN VICTORY IN RETURN TO NASHVILLE
Playing his first game in Nashville since joining the Canadiens, Shea Weber netted the tying goal in the third period and Max Pacioretty scored with 29.8 seconds remaining in overtime to help Montreal improve to 2-1-2 on their season-long seven-game road trip.

* Pacioretty scored his seventh career regular-season overtime goal to tie Aurele Joliat, Howie Morenz, John Gagnon and Saku Koivu for the most in franchise history.

* Alexander Radulov (0-2—2), who was also facing his former team for the first time, assisted on both Montreal goals.

* ICYMI: The Predators aired a tribute video honoring Weber, who played 11 seasons with the Predators including six as team captain.
