CANADIENS AIM TO CONTINUE PERFECT HOME START
The League-leading Canadiens (10-1-1, 23 points) aim for their ninth consecutive home win to start the season when they host the Kings (7-6-0, 14 points), winners of three straight games, at Bell Centre. Montreal has won each of their first nine home games only once before in their 99-year NHL history: in 1953-54 (9-0-0).

LAINE, JETS PAY VISIT TO ARIZONA
Rookie Patrik Laine, who is coming off his second career hat trick and paces the League in goals (11-4—15 in 14 GP), leads the Jets (6-7-1, 13 points) into Arizona for their first meeting of the season with the Coyotes (5-7-0, 10 points). Laine is the first player to score at least 11 goals within his first 14 career NHL games since 1992-93, when three players achieved the feat, including Teemu Selanne who also scored 11 times in his first 14 games with the original Jets en route to setting an NHL rookie record for goals in a season (76 in 84 GP).
