ST. LOUIS - Although the Blues collected four of a possible six points on a difficult road trip to Denver, Anaheim and Los Angeles last week, it didn’t come without a price.
In a two-game span, the Blues lost Paul Stastny, Jake Allen, Jay Bouwmeester, Carl Gunnarsson and Magnus Paajarvi to injury.
Blues Head Coach Ken Hitchcock said those players would be evaluated Monday in St. Louis and promised updates on each after practice.
Here is the latest from the Head Coach:
Paul Stastny - day-to-day with an upper-body injury but has not been ruled out to play Tuesday vs. New Jersey.
Jake Allen - week-to-week with a lower-body injury.
Jay Bouwmeester - week-to-week with an upper-body injury.
Carl Gunnarsson - week-to-week with an upper-body injury.
Magnus Paajarvi - week-to-week with an upper-body injury.
As a result of the injuries, the Blues have recalled defenseman Chris Butler and Ty Rattie under emergency conditions from the Chicago Wolves. In addition, goalie Jordan Binnington was recalled Saturday.
