Names are out now- 5 players on indefinite leave
This is going to be interesting. If these players are found guilty, will they be doing jail time? Are the clubs going to terminate contracts because of this? I can't think of such a broad-reaching situation in the past, with so many names involved.
I don't see how they don't do jail time. IF they're guilty, I hope they do a long stretch and lose their contracts.
If they did the crime then they have to do the time.....
4 players took a leave of absence in the NHL, 1 in the Swiss league:
Carter Hart--leave of absence from Philly (last year of contract 3.979M)
Michael McLeod--leave of absence from NJD (last year of contract 1.4M)
Cal Foote--leave of absence from NJD (last year of contract 800k)
Dillon Dube--leave of absence from Calgary (last year of contract 2.3M)
Alex Formenton--leave of absence from Swiss League team (contract ended 12/31/23 but agreed to stay with team through end of Swiss League season estimate 150-300k)
