I hear theyre thinking about Karlsson along with a few other teams. To me that has to involve three teams with two retaining salary to even be a possibility. That should command a big price.
Karlsson is not a difference maker to a team like Edmonton, they need a real defensemen, not a forward playing defense. I don't think he improves most teams, unless its a pure need for PP and you can manage his minutes, but why overpay for that?
All of that said, I would not be surprised in the least is Holland gives SJS a payday to acquire him.
They are in a very similar position to Toronto - just need a better D. It all comes down to how you want to spend your cap money, and those teams are sure fun to watch.
