I have to concur that it is indeed newsworthy when the officials get it right, and that makes me sad.

Because the NHL is stupid, they won’t pounce on this. Either jumping players after a hit is wrong and should be stamped out of the game, or it’s not. Only caring when the player jumped after the hit gets concussed and not caring otherwise is stupid.
Seriously, if Foligno’s first shot puddings Wilson and he hammers him again on the way down… it’s the exact same thing as the Orpik deal. The only thing different is the result, the behaviors in question are the same.
