Sharks Trade Galiardi To Calgary

added 4:02pm,

Calgary, AB -- The Calgary Flames announced today that they have acquired and signed forward T.J. Galiardi from the San Jose Sharks in exchange for the Flames fourth round pick in the 2015 NHL Draft.

“We are thrilled to add a young player with TJ’s size and versatility to our line-up,” said Flames General Manager Jay Feaster. “He can play Left Wing or Center, he competes hard, is a very good energy player, and he is only 25-years old. The fact that he is from Calgary, lives here in the off-season and played for the Hitmen is an added bonus, as he is yet another player who is excited to be part of our program going forward.”

And as LeoR astutley pointed out on Twitter minutes ago, the Wings apparently can’t get anything for Fil’s rights… but Galiardi gets a 4th?

Ken Holland needs to cry foul, NHL teams can’t trade players for draft picks, just ask his loyal fanbase.
