Jay Bouwmeester Named To Team Canada World Cup Roster For Injured Duncan Keith

TORONTO/NEW YORK (Aug. 24, 2016) – Hockey Canada announced today that St. Louis Blues defenseman Jay Bouwmeester has been added to its 23-man roster for the World Cup of Hockey 2016, the best-on-best international hockey championship from Sept. 17 to Oct. 1, 2016. He replaces injured Chicago Blackhawks defenseman Duncan Keith. Bouwmeester, 32, will be entering his 14th NHL season in 2016-17. He has registered 81 goals and 376 points in 990 career NHL games and was a member of Team Canada’s 2004 World Cup of Hockey championship squad.
