There is heavy demand for salary figures. What Bettman meant, is he does not wish to disclose salary figures as he feels it takes away from “things that matter”.
Unfortunately for him, there are far fewer people who give a damn about Corsi and other analytic stats. Unfortunately for us, there are few people phoning the league and telling them we want salary information.
Until we as fans, front office personnel, and everything in between start flooding the league with requests for this information, don’t expect it to be provided. Ever.
