Vancouver, B.C. - Vancouver Canucks General Manager Jim Benning announced today that the club has signed forward Conor Garland to a five-year contract worth an average annual value of $4.95 million.
"We're pleased to have reached a long-term deal with Conor today," said Benning. "He's a skilled young player, who plays hard, produces offensively and will complement our top-six forward group."
Garland, 25, recorded 39 points (12-27-39) and 26 penalty minutes in 49 games with Arizona last season, leading the team in assists (27) and ranking third in points (39). He tallied a career-high in goals (22) during the 2019.20 season, leading all Coyotes skaters in that category.
The 5'10", 165-pound forward has played three NHL seasons with Arizona, collecting 96 points (47-49-96) in 164 career games played. In eight career postseason games, Garland has registered an additional two points (1-1-2).
