Two goals in the second period, both by Florida. Detroit had a few chanced but could not convert.
The Panthers scored twice in the third to win the game 4-0.
Florida dominated the Wings today, both physically and on the scoresheet.

Wings go into Colorado and the one goal game goes the other way this time. It puts them on a 3 game losing skid going into the trade deadline and a game against Arizona. What does Yzerman do? It would seem like nothing isnt an option in that scenario. Thoughts?
Would like him to move Holl. I heard Berggren did not accept his offer (Pagnotta) and wants to move onward. Package both?
If it nets us a solid, big, punishing D-man I say go for it. We are still too soft to really run with the big dogs. Im being realistic, and, today was a lesson I hope this team takes to heart.
When it was 0-2 I figured the game was over, but still in a good position going on a 4 game road trip. Yzerman is unpredictable, so expect a surprise. 😛
I think he will try to move Holl and Gothispierre, and look for possibly some toughness. This team is still to soft for playoff hockey.
Gudas
Gudas would have been my choice over Holl last summer. Not sure what Yzerman saw in Holl.
Not every player SY might offer a contract wants to come here. It's possible that Gudas wanted to go to West Coast team.
The Wings got pulled into Florida's antics and game style. They lost their composer and the lost the game.
Sorry to be redundant, but they need to rest Lyon. Not blaming him for this loss at all, but Lalonde in my opinion overplayed Husso last year. You have to believe in both your.goalies.
I would sit Dish for a game or so. These fast checking teams he cannot hang with.

Lost to the best team in the league with the hottest goaltender. Played good hockey for the first 30 minutes and got frustrated knowing they are not coming back down 2:0 against this team. PP was terrible (or/and florida PK was outstanding). Do not overreact.
Dress Kostin next time they play a duhchuk team and send him after them have him keep hacking and wacking them so they lose there cool instead of us. They dish but cant take it.
It's not going to get easier. Colorado got embarassed by Nashville and are bound to be ready for Detroit.
