Speaking of Leino, he’s cooled off recently. He hasn’t scored a goal since Oct. 25 and has just four assists in his past six games.

Goaltender Jimmy Howard, meanwhile, has lost three straight games in Grand Rapids, allowing a whopping 13 goals on 75 shots.

And before you ask the question, Larsson’s not doing much better with a save percentage (.897) just higher than Howard’s (.887).

Thomas McCullom, however? .928 after 21 games with Guelph of the OHL.

Does anyone really believe Jimmy Howard is ever going to be the unquestioned starter in Hockeytown?
