Welcome to Abel to Yzerman, a Red Wing blog since 1977. No other site on the internet has better-researched, fact-laden and better prepared discussions than A2Y. Re-phrase: we do little research, find facts and stats highly overrated and claim little to no preparation. There are 19 readers of A2Y. No more, no less. All of them, except maybe one, are juvenile in nature. Reminding them of that in the comment section will only encourage them to prove that.
7 skaters??
Every one of those clowns that took a shot at the empty net with less than 1:30 left in the game should be out there skating, hard. 5-6 icing calls? Skate you SOB's!! Kill the time......
Absolutely. It was amateur hour those last few minutes. No excuse for not even attempting to possess the puck out of your own end.
With a two goal lead, those icings were totally acceptable (although nerve-wrecking) in my opinion.
I think this was the mentality but a few times they were overly cautious. A couple more skate strides and they avoid the icing and run more time off the clock.
Lyon starts.
via Ansar Khan tweet,
Lalonde on... Walman not himself lately but available.
from the above video, but it starts with Lalonde talking about needing more from DeBrincat.
Anyone knows what's wrong with Walman? Why did he regress so much lately?
My opinion,.he is concentrating to much on his offense game. He has been caught out of position trying to force the.puck up zone or pinching down low. He needs to forget about the Giddy and cover his zone or man
Something strange is going on with Walman. And I don't think it's physical. He hasn't been the same for about half the season this year. That, in turn, has hurt Seider who's been dragged down by both Chiarot and Petry.
