Chiasson’s is worse than Nyquist’s.  I know people won’t want to hear that, but…

Chiasson just skated up and casually speared him with intent, while the play was dead, knowing it was right in front of the official.  No real heat of the moment, and no meaningful nearby live play going on to where it could be considered “battling” or something.

As I’ve said several times now lately, this is where it moves from a “temper” or “meltdown” situation into what I see as a far more serious situation.  It’s one thing the heat of the moment to do something.  It’s a whole other thing to cross the ice while play is dead and do something like that.

This gets into the “mental problems” territory when you’re doing stuff like this, it really does.  If you have a second to ask yourself “Is this REALLY a good idea?” and still do it anyways… man, I see what should be mandatory counseling or something.  Because either your mental evaluation ability is screwed up, or you are lacking the ability altogether.  And neither is healthy.
