As for the hit I would probably say he gets a game or two. (history & injury).

Definitely boarding. Don’t know he left his feet. Didn’t see targeted head hit.

Forearm to the back of the neck, very dangerous hit. Hard to tell from the replay how much he left his feet, but definitely suspension earning.

Just saw a review of the game. Pacioretty’s hit on mcdonagh was basically identical to mcdonagh’s on pacioretty on the previous shift. Only difference was McDonagh was in front of the glass when he was hit. Both of them should be minors since that’s the way the league wants to treat dangerous but “clean” hits from behind.

Looks like he definitely left his feet. And given that it was a boarding type hit, I think that warrants a suspension. I did not see the McDonagh on Pac hit though.
