I’m more interested in Sedin’s goal that was disallowed.  In the replays I saw there is no puck in view.  Sedin definitely shows what could be called a distinct kicking motion toward Smith’s left pad from in front of the net.  A split second later the puck emerges from under Smith and goes into the net.  But nowhere can it be seen that the moving skate actually touched the puck.  I thought the replay officials were only supposed to rule on what they could definitively see, not on what they thought might have happened.  Is there no controversy on this one?
