Video- Did Chicago Deserve A Penalty Right Before Their Open Net Goal?

Should Michael Frolik been called for tripping on Torey Krug on the play at the blue line?

Of course this should have been a penalty, but the story of Chicago’s playoff run has been timely “non-calls” and the reffing alleging heir way.  If this had gone the other way around their woulda been a media uproar but since it benefited the Hawks nobody seems to give a damn.

Garth already picked the low hanging fruit. I watched this at a bar last night with a lot of passive or non-hockey fans. Even they noticed that trip, and they were much more interested in their food/drinks.

That trip was as blatant as the high-stick to Lucic’s face a little earlier. I’m no fan of the Bruins (and will be less so next year), but they were royally screwed on those two “non-calls” (which really should be called “ignored calls” because the refs simply chose to ignore them).

I couldn’t tell if he got the puck before the trip or not. The losing team always has a beef on the non calls. For that matter you could virtully call a penalty on every Chara hit, he had his elbows into players heads all night.
