The Coaching Change In Chicago Isn’t Going So Well

from Jimmy Greenfield of the Chicago Tribune,

After Thursday night’s 4-3 loss to the Golden Knights, Blackhawks coach Jeremy Colliton has been in charge for 15 games. That’s the same number of games Joel Quenneville was given before he was fired earlier this season.

Their respective records?

Quenneville went 6-6-3.

Colliton has gone 3-10-2.

The Hawks have played a hellish schedule during Colliton’s initial period as coach but it doesn’t get much easier. The Hawks play nine games over 15 days beginning Sunday, including games against the Avalanche, Predators, Sharks and two against the Jets.

Here are three takeaways from the loss in Las Vegas.

The GM gets one coaching change, right? This new guy isn’t “interim” either… They named him their coach.

Guess the GM loses their job next.

What was once a vibrant team to cover, the Chicago Sun-Times is now using the AP for the road game stories.

Well the fans in Chicago are as fair weathered as the city is windy. The Bears are all the hype now for the first time I can ever remember. Cubs fans will slowly lessen the next couple years.
