SAN JOSE, CA - San Jose Sharks (@SanJoseSharks) General Manager Doug Wilson announced today that the club has re-signed unrestricted free agent defenseman Scott Hannan to a one-year contract.
"Scott is a high-character, veteran player who leads by example," said Wilson. "He understands and accepts his role based on the needs of our team and will be a great mentor for many of the younger players on our roster."
Last season, Hannan played in 56 games for the Sharks, posting 12 points (three goals, nine assists), 55 penalty minutes, a plus-one rating, and 1:52 of shorthanded ice time per game (fourth on the team). Hannan played in all seven postseason games with the Sharks, registering two assists and a plus-one rating.
