I’m imagining it as more of a line brawl than a GMs meeting, that the delay is because they’re scraping up all the blood as we speak.

But I suppose that’s just me projecting my pessimism on all of this.  Sorry.

Pessimism is understandable, Nosferatu.

While one always holds on to a bit of optimism, with the complete idiocy seen by both sides in this fiasco,  pessimism is the emotion that makes the most sense.

One thing that may come from this could be that representation was indeed holding it up. Sounds to me like this should have been handled just like a GM meeting from the get go. Owners repped by their own GM, or even themselves. And the players of course represented by a wide gamut just like they have at the meeting(s) now. I truly do hope some give and take has happened this evening. I think this is the last bastion right here, right now.

TSN had this info up a few hours ago. It seems Bettman will meet with the media to discuss the BOG meeting, not necessarily any new info on the talks, though both could coincide.
