WHAT THEY’RE SAYING
“There’s no reason to be nervous. We’ve laid it all on the line this year. We’ve come back from 2-0 in this series . . . To have one game to go to the Conference Finals is special; guys want to take advantage of it.” – Ducks forward Andrew Cogliano
“It’s the same thing with any other sport – it’s the last second of the game with the buzzer coming down, it’s the ninth inning, two outs, it’s a football game, fourth quarter, last play. It’s everything. It’s you or them. You really can’t prepare much for this. You just go out and trust your instincts and hopefully they bring you to success.” – Kings forward Justin Williams
“I think anytime you’re in a Game 7 it’s a little bit different and it’s obviously one of the biggest series [ever] in California. We’re looking forward to it and I think having it at home will be extra special.” – Ducks goaltender John Gibson
“It’s what it’s all about. Playing one game, win a series, win a championship, go on to the next round or whatever. When you have a best-of-seven or a best-of-five, that’s one thing, but when it comes down to one single game, that’s pretty exciting.” – Kings forward Jarret Stoll
“It’s all about just executing . . . We can’t be afraid to lose. We have to play hard. It’s all about poise, calming yourself down and play the game. It’s do or die.” – Ducks captain Ryan Getzlaf
“When you’ve done special things together, you have the confidence no matter what happens to do that again. That’s a big thing in the playoffs. When you’re down in a game, down in the series, you’ve been through comebacks and good things with the guy beside you, it is a good thing to lean on. It’s a nice feeling to have that you have confidence in being able to do whatever is needed to win.” – Kings forward Mike Richards
