Kukla's Korner Hockey

Morning Line

First off: this, of course, was a championship season for the good old Burgundy and Blue. Just seeing No. 77, Raymond Bourque, in the pregame skate gave me something of a tingle up the leg. Good lord, how lucky were we all in Denver, to see Ray Bourque play in his final year and a half in the league? It’s just one of the most “I can’t believe that happened” things of my whole life. He was just an amazing player, and Pierre Lacroix should have a statue in front of the Pepsi Center for that trade alone.

Yeah, well Dater is going to need those VHS tapes to keep getting that tingling feeling up his leg given the clown show that is currently running the Dives.

igrover, it’s rewarding that VHS is the only way to watch their highlights these days.

When you play for the dive for 128 of your 1826 career games, I guess you deserve a participation ribbon (banner).  That whole organization has been wearing clown shoes since (at least) Game 7 in 2002.  Bring on Hejduk’s ribbon!
