Morning Line- Jason Botchford On The Vancouver Canucks

11/06/2016 at 7:37am EST

The Canucks came to Toronto the laughingstock of the NHL. It wasn’t just because they had been shut out four times in five games. It was because they looked like the Leafs did at the end of the Mats Sundin era....

The results were ugly, on the scoreboard and on the ice. The Leafs could have probably beat the 10-goal total Columbus put up on Montreal Friday night if they had any luck.

But they didn’t seem content to just run the Canucks out of the building with goals.

Yes, the Canucks scored. And more than once. What the Canucks lacked in structure, they made up for with goals.

But really, they were exposed for being too old, too slow and too injured, missing both Alex Edler and Chris Tanev.

-Jason Botchford of the Vancouver Province after Vancouver lost to Toronto 6-3. It was Vancouver's eighth straight loss too. More on the Canucks from Botchford.
