Montreal Trades Andrew Shaw To Chicago

MONTREAL - General manager Marc Bergevin announced on Sunday that the Canadiens have acquired the Chicago Blackhawks' second-round pick and seventh-round pick in 2020, in addition to their third-round pick in 2021, in exchange for forward Andrew Shaw and the Canadiens' seventh-round pick in 2021.

In three seasons with Montreal, Shaw registered 41 goals and 96 points in 182 games.

It appears Chicago is trying to get back into the hunt while Towes, Kane and Keith are still around. It’s understandable but this kind of move reeks of desperation.
