Maybe Next Year

from Adrian Dater of All Things Avs,

Everybody needs to remain patient. Because, it doesn’t sound like there is any alternative. I do believe there will be changes in roster personnel by next season. I expect a different looking defense. I mean, it has to be different. Someone – be it Seth Jones or a free agent or two or maybe all of that – is going to have to come into this town and show what real defense looks like again.

Part of me feels like, if nothing is done to change the management structure, it will be the biggest cop-out in sports history, a complete denial of reality. The other part of me thinks: meh, things change so fast in this league. Who’s to say the Avs might not be a real surprise team next year with Sacco and Sherman still around?

I don’t really know what to think right now about this team’s future. I alternate between feeling they are a completely hopeless lost cause, to thinking it could all be just fine come this October. I suspect a lot of you feel the same way.

This is just a puff piece by a complete tool.  Everyone here in the Denver area knows the Dives are terrible, and Dater shovels this crap out to try and placate the fans

‘It could all be fine come this October”.  Yeah, sure.  Because we will be 4-8 games into the Broncos season and no one will care about the Dives.

Yeah, it hasn’t been the same since Quincey left. So I think Q for the Dive’s 1st rounder would be a fair draft-day deal. That would get them right back on track. smile
