Edmonton, AB) - The Edmonton Oilers have agreed to terms with forward Kyle Turris on a two-year contract through the 2021-22 season. The two-year contract is worth $3.3 million and has an annual average value (AAV) of $1.65 million.

Turris, 31, spent last season with the Nashville Predators, posting 31 points (9G, 22A), 22 penalty minutes and a -9 plus/minus rating in 62 games. He also played in four games in the 2020 Stanley Cup playoffs.

The 6’1”, 190-pound forward has appeared in 726 career NHL games over 12 seasons with Arizona, Ottawa and Nashville, accumulating 416 points (165G, 251A), 329 penalty minutes and a +9 plus-minus rating. Turris has also recorded 32 points (14G, 18A), 68 penalty minutes and a -3 plus/minus rating in 69 career playoff games.

The New Westminster, British Columbia native has represented Canada several times internationally, most recently at the 2019 World Hockey Championship as captain, registering 10 points (4G, 6A), eight penalty minutes and a +11 plus minus rating in 10 games. Turris also played for Team Canada at the 2018 and 2014 World Hockey Championships, as well as the 2008 World Junior Hockey Championship, under-18 World Hockey Championship and under-17 World Hockey Championship.

Turris was the Coyotes first round selection, third overall, in the 2007 NHL Draft.
