Joey MacDonald Will Be In Calgary For Another Year

Calgary, AB -- The Calgary Flames announced today that they have signed goaltender Joey MacDonald. MacDonald was originally acquired by the Flames on February 11th of this year, off waivers from the Detroit Red Wings.

MacDonald, a native of Pictou, Nova Scotia, has played 18 games this year with Calgary recording a 7-7-1 record, a 2.91 GAA and a .900 save percentage. He has appeared in 119 career NHL games with Boston, Detroit, New York Islanders, Toronto and Calgary. He has a career record of 38-55-0-14 along with a .903% save percentage and 3.02 GAA.

Contract Terms: One-year one-way contract with a base salary of $925,000 and an AAV of $925,000

Nothing but the best for Joey Mac. Another good story for a journeyman goalie overcoming injuries and obsticles.
