Does Tyson Nash Have A Point?

via Tyson Nash tweets,

Tough start for the @ArizonaCoyotes but let’s be honest, playing the @GoldenKnights 2 of teams 1st three games was not ideal.

No excuses but there is not a team in NHL that was beating the @GoldenKnights last night in that environment. Game was over before it began

A motivated group. A bunch of castaways from other teams that have come together & galvanized the group. On a mission to prove themselves

I’ve always said that hungry players are the most dangerous kind. Everyday in the NHL is a gift. Find that hunger.

He’s right to a certain extent.

That said, Arizona has some young talent, but overall is hot garbage.  Their players are generally young and unproven, or cast offs from other teams. Domi, Stepan, Duclair, Hjalmersson, and OEL are NHL talents. Otherwise, borderline and unproven guys.

Not a playoff team in the west. Not close. Will definitely finish closer to vegas than the 8 spot.

I bet when most Coyotes saw thus year’s schedule they high-fived each other when they saw they had Vegas two of first three games

Anyone who’s watched Gallant teams should have some respect for Vegas.  On top of a motivated group of unprotected’s.  These guys will have no problem working their way to wins I think.

It’s kind of like that Team North America roster of rookies last year at the World Championships.  They didn’t have experience with the coaches and their systems, and they were all excited and fun to watch.

But after a few weeks this is unsustainable.  The first two weeks of hockey is usually run-and-gun play with poor defensive structure.  Once teams begin to tighten up their D in another week or two, LVG is going to struggle to score.  Guarantee it.
