Dany Heatley Hurt After Slash From Marc-Edouard Vlasic

from Michael Russo of Russo's Rants,

Coach Mike Yeo, after a very abbreviated 20-second press scrum, indicated that Dany Heatley will out for awhile with what looked on replay to be a left wrist injury after an altercation he had with San Jose Sharks defenseman Marc-Edouard Vlasic after the game.

Vlasic, Heatley’s former teammate who had an ongoing battle with the veteran much of the third period, got into it with Heatley in front of the Sharks’ net in the final seconds after Vlasic cross-checked Heatley.

Vlasic slashed Heatley across the top of the back. Heatley got up and tried to connect with his stick and missed. Vlasic then two-handed Heatley across the forearm and jumped him. Vlasic got the shirt over top Heatley’s head, lifted him and then violently one-last time drove him down to the ice. That appears to be when Heatley got hurt. He skated to the exit in pain.

more plus watch the only video I could find of the incident below... Russo has the same video too....

update 12:27pm, Added another video below showing the incident and Vlasic talking about it.

The incident took place as the final horn sounded. Heatley received 2 for roughing while Vlasic was given 5 for slashing and a game misconduct.

Gee Pickle brain did the same 2 handed slashing to Zetterburg and he has not played since.  When and how is Vlasic going to be responsible for his actions ? Probably no suspension here either. Refs were blind to these 2 incidents and Shanny will be also. Another example of how this game is being ruined from within. Bah

The game was very physical and the Wild got frustrated when the Sharks took the early lead.
Rupp was taking cheap shots on all shifts. On a pp Marleau was crosschecked across the chest and from behind at the same time.
The losing team is always the instigator and the winning team just defending. Heatley missed all his attempts to slash Vlasic while protecting himself didn’t.
Refs miss a ton.Like the head hit to Demers during Wings game. Initial contact was head. He has not played since either. That is today’s game. Not a big fan..Vlasic is very clean player as stats show

Clean. Yeah right. So was Joe Stalin.
Yep Just as figured. Chump change fine for the pickleman.
He will get his one day soon. Hockey players don’t forget crap like that.
