Kukla's Korner Hockey

Afternoon Line

It's almost comical to me that players and owners, and you the fan, are relying on two men with not one hockey cell in their body to determine your fate. I won't let that happen with my love of the sport. I've moved on to other hockey. I watch and read and follow more college hockey than ever before and that will continue whether or not the lockout ends. My message to the NHL player is to think long and hard about is this: The worker is ALWAYS going to have to take less. ALWAYS. Get over it. We are ALL cattle.

Looks like Bucci isn’t getting a raise from the great and powerful four-letter network this year, since everyone always takes less. ALWAYS.

I wonder how he would feel if he just signed a contract and espn turns around and says “you need to take less, we can’t pay you that much”.

I’m not on anyone’s side, but I do think there’s room for compromise and these two sides just don’t want to. If they really cared about the game they would hire a mediators to deal with the mess and then start playing hockey. But as always egos ruin everything.
