It Can Always Be Worse

03/09/2019 at 6:28pm EST

I thought I'd start off on a cheerful note tonight. Many of the 19 have already lived through seasons far worse than the current one. That's the cheerful part. It might be hard to imagine for some of you, but, I would add that if your reading this, and are taking part in tonight's festivities, you have been down this road before.

The Wings have made it a bit easier to watch these remaining games with players like Larkin (out tonight), Athanasiou, Mantha, Bertuzzi and the like. The newer young guys that are playing in the last games of this season are fun to watch, and, we can also have fun at the expense of the older slower rest of the team in the comment section.
Comic relief helps. A lot. So please chime in, and often. We're going to need it as the Wings face off against the current best team in the league.

About Abel to Yzerman

Welcome to Abel to Yzerman, a Red Wing blog since 1977. No other site on the internet has better-researched, fact-laden and better prepared discussions than A2Y. Re-phrase: we do little research, find facts and stats highly overrated and claim little to no preparation. There are 19 readers of A2Y. No more, no less. All of them, except maybe one, are juvenile in nature. Reminding them of that in the comment section will only encourage them to prove that.
