from Jeff Gordon of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch,
The Blues have three capable offensive defensemen and a fourth, Joel Edmundson, who can comfortably jump into the play.
“The frustrating part is, you look at our lineup and we’re happy with the way it looks every night we’re going in,” defenseman Vince Dunn said. “It’s just a matter of making sure when we’re out there, we’re doing the right things every time. Not getting carried away, not looking to jump into the offense too quick.
“We’re not the most individually skilled team, but we have a lot of smart players, we have a lot of good players that can make plays. It’s just a matter of making sure that we make the plays that are there and if the play is not there, not get ourselves into trouble.”
No, the Blues don’t have a Connor McDavid or a Nathan McKinnon bursting up and down the ice and driving a one-line offense.
But they have a LOT of guys who can play.
The Blues are 8-11-3 this season and are tied with the LA Kings at the bottom of the Western Conference.
