from Patrick Johnston of the Vancouver Province,
Asked Tuesday about a hit by Bruins defenceman Matt Grzelcyk on Canucks centre Elias Petterson, Vancouver head coach Travis Green pulled no punches and echoed comments he made during his star centre’s rookie season, calling out league officials for not doing enough to protect the game’s best players.
“I’m so frustrated with it. This guy is one of the best young players in the league. He gets hit and he’s totally defenceless … it’s two seconds after he lets go of the puck. I’ve watched it a couple times,” a visibly frustrated Green said after Tuesday’s 4-0 loss to the Boston Bruins.
