NEW YORK (April 8, 2022) – Edmonton Oilers forward Evander Kane has been fined $5,000, the maximum allowable under the Collective Bargaining Agreement, for kneeing Los Angeles Kings defenseman Sean Durzi during NHL Game No. 1135 in Los Angeles on Thursday, April 7, the National Hockey League’s Department of Player Safety announced today.
The incident occurred at 4:14 of the second period. Kane was assessed a minor penalty for kneeing.
