VEGAS (March 8, 2018) – Vegas Golden Knights General Manager George McPhee announced today, March 8, that the team has signed free agent defenseman Zach Whitecloud to a three-year, entry level contract. Whitecloud is expected to join the Vegas Golden Knights on Friday, March 9 in Buffalo, NY.

Whitecloud recently finished his sophomore year with Bemidji State University where he registered four goals and 14 assists in 36 games. As a freshman at BSU, he ranked second on the team in assists (14) and blocked shots (59). For his career at Bemidji State, Whitecloud recorded 36 points (7 G, 29 A) in 77 games.

The Brandon, Manitoba native was an AHCA Honors First "All American Scholars" recipient this season following his sophomore campaign.
