from Scott Cullen of TSN,
The Nashville Predators have slipped past the Chicago Blackhawks, taking over top spot in the TSN.ca NHL Power Rankings.
The Predators have one regulation loss in the past nine games, and getting top-flight goaltending from a healthy Pekka Rinne has made a huge difference for them this season.
Among the teams moving up, the St. Louis Blues climb from eight to four now that goaltender Brian Elliott has been activated from injured reserve. The New York Rangers, with one loss in the past 11 games, are up from 10 to five and the Dallas Stars, 9-1-1 in their past 11 games, shoot up from 20 to 12.
Falling this week, the Detroit Red Wings, with two regulation wins in the past 11 games, slide from four to nine and the slumping Los Angeles Kings drop from five to 11. The Philadelphia Flyers, winless in five, slide from 21 to 25.
