A new year is upon us, and as the 2016-17 NHL season marches towards the All-Star break, several major games are on tap over the next three weeks. None will likely be bigger than this Saturday’s game at Nationwide Arena, where the Blue Jackets look to make league history with their 18th consecutive win. A victory over the Capitals on Thursday would tie the 1992-93 Penguins’ record, setting up a historic matchup with the Rangers over the weekend.
The Blue Jackets’ bid for the record books will be appointment television for hockey fans across the globe. However, the NHL’s oldest rivalry will be the top ticket on the secondary market through the end of the month. The Maple Leafs host the Canadiens this Saturday in January’s priciest NHL game.
