By Joe Sudberg,
Another week into the NHL season brings us another weekly view at NHL tickets on the secondary market, with some familiar franchises leading the way in the standings and in terms of average ticket prices.
According to TiqIQ.com, the most expensive tickets of the week belong to the NHL points leader, the Montreal Canadiens, who are tied with the New York Rangers with the fewest amount of losses (two). Montreal hosts the Colorado Avalanche on November 14th at Centre Bell with an average ticket price of $227.85 and a get-in price of $57, which is surprising as the Avalanche are one of three teams with single-digit points. The poor play of the Avalanche nor the positive play of the Canadiens have affected secondary market ticket prices, as the average ticket price has been steady for multiple months. On September 10th, the average ticket price was $242.55.
