from Kevin Allen of USA TODAY,
At least a dozen NHL goalies are having career seasons, or are playing a starring role in their team’s success:
Pekka Rinne (Nashville Predators): Now fully past the hip injury that realistically cost him a season, Rinne boasts a 1.98 goals-against average and .928 save percentage. Both are superior to his career average. He is the primary reason why the Predators are a major surprise with the NHL’s sixth-best record.
Frederik Andersen (Anaheim Ducks): It was considered risky business for the Ducks to rely on unproven goaltending. Andersen has put an end to that talk with a 7-1-2 start and 1.72 GAA.
