Hockey nights at Enterprise Center are so much more fun these days. The Blues have finally become the playoff threat they were meant to be.
“The team’s been playing incredible,” goaltender Jordan Binnington observed Tuesday. “We’re having fun doing it. It’s good to be around here right now.”
But can they stand prosperity? Can they avoid damaging letdowns during the stretch run, especially at home?
Tuesday night’s game against New Jersey offered another opportunity to meet that challenge. This time the Blues were more than up to it, blasting the Devils 8-3 for their seventh consecutive victory.
The Blues rode high into this game. They took six points from NHL powers Tampa Bay and Nashville with their previous three victories.
