The St. Louis Blues Dropped An Important Game To The Chicago Blackhawks

In a game the Blues absolutely had to have Wednesday, they squandered a 3-1 lead and then squandered the game and perhaps a playoff berth with a 4-3 loss before 18,935 at Scottrade Center.

Duncan Keith's power play goal with just 8.5 seconds remaining in the third period did in the Blues, who stayed at 92 points _ one point behind Colorado for the second wild-card spot in the Western Conference. Both Colorado and St. Louis have just two games to play, with the Avalanche playing at San Jose on Thursday and the Blues traveling to Chicago on Friday.

The Avalanche and Blues then close out their regular seasons on Saturday in Denver.
