The St. Louis Blues have been pretty stingy defensively throughout the 2014-15 season -- they rank fifth in the league in goals against -- but coach Ken Hitchcock hasn't been pleased with what he's seen from his team in back-to-back losses.
After a 4-1 loss to the Chicago Blackhawks on Wednesday, the Blues again allowed too many breakdowns in their own end in their 4-3 defeat to the Central Division-leading Nashville Predators on Thursday.
Before the game, Hitchcock talked about the importance of playing "committed" in front of veteran goaltender Martin Brodeur in his Blues debut, so it's no wonder he wasn't happy with what he saw Thursday night. Brodeur failed to make a few critical saves, but his teammates didn't do him many favors, either.
