The Montreal Canadiens Have Won Six Games In Two Months

01/27/2016 at 6:52am EST

from Mike Boone of Hockey Inside/Out,

The Canadiens lost 5-2 on home ice to Columbus Tuesday night– the same score as Monday’s game in the hockey capital of Ohio.

Arpon Basu of NHL.com neatly encapsulated the humiliation with a tweet: Score over the course of the Habs-Blue Jackets home and home: Habs 4, Cam Atkinson 4.

The loss dropped the Canadiens into 11th place in the Eastern Conference. They are out of a Wild Card playoff spot and trail Carolina (!!!) and New Jersey. Ottawa and Philadelphia (with four games in hand) are within striking distance of the Canadiens 50 points.

There is no point in deluding ourselves any further, peeps:

This is a bad hockey team.

The Canadiens won three games in December and three more in January.
