- The best reason to be optimistic about the Leafs: Frederik Andersen’s career record against Canadian teams. He’s 53-11-14 against the other six teams in Canada. That’s more than remarkable.

- Heard this from a former NHL PR man: The only time he hears from hockey players in the off-season is when they have something to sell. A charity event. A project of some kind. Maybe a book. Nobody just talks anymore. They do mindless Zoom calls. And then we thank them for their availability.
