from PR Newswire,
After delivering the first-ever live 4K sports broadcast in North America last Thursday, Rogers moves from centre court to centre ice in another first – producing and broadcasting the first-ever NHL game in 4K.
The first NHL 4K game will be a Hockey Night in Canada telecast produced by Sportsnet and available to Rogers customers with NextBox 4K on Channel 999 on January 23 at 7 p.m. ET when the Toronto Maple Leafs face the Montreal Canadiens, live from Air Canada Centre.
"What makes this 4K technology so exciting is how it enhances our storytelling and how we can boost sports fans' passion for the game in a truly immersive way," said Scott Moore, President, Sportsnet & NHL Properties, Rogers. "Games are won and lost in the details, and with 4K, the fans are closer than ever to the insider perspective."
