The Edmonton Oilers Are Still In The Playoff Race But Better Goaltending Needed

The Edmonton Oilers returned home from their quickie double-matinee road trip to Philadelphia and Montreal having blown two third-period leads and lost both games in overtime to make it a five-game losing streak.

But thanks to the loser point that the NHL insists on awarding for overtime or shootout losses, they’re not dead yet in the Western Conference’s Great Turtle Race of 2019.

Two games back from their 10-day break, the Oilers are still looking back over their shoulders at the guy in goal thinking …

Well, I wrote it earlier this week:

“Just stop the &%$#¢™£ puck.”

You can’t fly like an eagle if you’ve got a turkey in goal.
